1. General information
This subject is included in the curricular design of the fourth year. Students with a maximum of 12 ECTS of the degree pending to pass, may present themselves for the defence of their work.
It is recommended that students familiarize themselves with the Occupational Therapy Degree Final Project Manual for the 2023/2024 academic year, available on the Faculty of Health Sciences web page:https://fcs.unizar.es/grado-en- occupational-therapy-0
It is recommended to consult the resource "Guía de herramientas y pautas para un buen TFG: Terapia Ocupacional".
This is an online course, through the Virtual Campus of the UZ, which aims to be a guide that provides information on the development of the DFP. Enrolment is automatic for students enrolled in DFP.
2. Learning results
To pass this subject, the following results must be demonstrated:
- It will incorporate the design, implementation and/or evaluation of an Occupational Therapy intervention plan at any stage of the person's life cycle, which includes decision-making and problem-solving skills , using the appropriate tools and frameworks for each case and taking into account the relevant physical, psychological, social, cultural, spiritual, and environmental factors . All this with critical spirit, integrating teamwork and based on scientific evidence.
- Design activities to improve the quality of treatment planning in Occupational Therapy, organization and management in the field of the profession's competences, with an ethical commitment, integrating different integrating different disciplines.
3. Syllabus
The different seminars will provide the guidelines and instructions to follow in the realization of the DFP and will work on specific aspects of the approach and execution of each type of work will be worked on.
Topics:
- Guidelines and basic instructions for the completion of the DFP.
- Methodological aspects in the realization of the DFP.
- Design and development of the DFP.
- Evidence-based practice and decision making.
- Ethical issues, writing and presentation.
4. Academic activities
The distribution of the 7 ECTS of the subject is as follows:
- Theoretical and practical seminars: 12 classroom hours, whose content will deal with the methodological foundations for the realization of the DFP..
- Tutorials: minimum 6 face-to-face hours, the process of elaboration of the DFP will be presented to the director throughout the term.
- Autonomous work: 157 non-face-to-face hours.
5. Assessment system
Assessment activities:
- Seminars (10% of the final grade): At the end of the seminars, there will be a practical test that will include the presentation of the work plan and the design of the DFP..
- Tutorials/direction (35% of the final grade): Through evidence submitted to the tutor and graded with specific criteria and rubric, the competences applied to the process of elaboration of the work will be evaluated
- Report and public defence of the DFP (55% of the final grade): The student will present in writing and will make a public defence of the DFP before a Board of Examiners. The evaluation of the written report has a value of 45% ( ) and the oral presentation 10%. It will be graded according to the Boards Evaluation Criteria based on the competencies that the students must acquire.
In each academic year there will be two ordinary calls for the defence of the DFP in Occupational Therapy: 1st May-June, 2nd June-July, and the extraordinary calls in September and December (prior enrolment).
